INS Sudarshini Showcases India’s Maritime Heritage at International Naval Review; Completes Global Mission to Strengthen Maritime Cooperation

New Delhi : India’s maritime diplomacy received a significant boost as INS Sudarshini, the Indian Navy’s prestigious sail training ship, represented India at the United States International Naval Review, highlighting the country’s rich naval traditions and commitment to global maritime cooperation.

During the visit, the ship was inspected and interactions were held with the Commanding Officer Cdr Ravikanth Nandoori and officers onboard INS Sudarshini.

The vessel is currently part of the ambitious “Lokayan 2026” transoceanic expedition, a historic maritime journey covering nearly 22,000 nautical miles over 10 months across 13 countries.

The expedition aims to promote maritime cooperation, strengthen international goodwill, and deepen engagement with friendly navies across the world.

INS Sudarshini’s participation in the United States International Naval Review served as an important platform to showcase India’s naval capabilities, maritime culture, and centuries-old connection with the seas.
